Sewer Pumping Station & Wet Well Services

MRMS > Pumping Station & Wet Well Services

We specialise in the care and maintenance of sewer pumping stations and wet wells—vital components of sewer and drainage infrastructure that require regular attention to ensure continuous operation and prevent costly disruptions. Our dedicated team of professionals brings years of experience to every project, offering a comprehensive range of wet well services, from routine inspections and preventative maintenance to emergency repairs and thorough preparation of new wells.

At MRMS, we understand the importance of reliability and efficiency in sewer and drainage operations. That’s why we utilise the latest techniques and equipment to deliver fast, efficient cleaning and maintenance services, minimising downtime and maximising equipment lifespan.

Our Approach To Pumping Station and Wet Well Services

pump well approach 01
Planned & Reactive Services

Typically ranging from weekly operator maintenance to semi-annual comprehensive clean-outs, our planned and reactive services include a full assessment of sewer flow patterns and peaks, collaborating with the client to develop the most efficient maintenance strategy for their plant or wet well, as well as a comprehensive safety assessment to ensure full regulatory compliance. Using the latest in jetting and suction technology, we pump out, clean and recycle the water back into the well, removing any floating debris. While the well is dry, we enter the structure and access pipes, using high-pressure jetters to clean all the surfaces and remove any collected debris from around the pumps, drains and other components. Our confined space equipment is utilised to ensure a deep clean that follows all safety protocols. We also lift the submersible pump out and service it, leaving the pumping station and wet well clean, free from debris and back to full operation with no disruption.

Emergency Reactive Services

Generally, wet wells house submersible pumps that detect water levels and pump to outflow when the levels reach a certain height. Suppose the wastewater flow pipes become blocked with debris, either from sudden catastrophic events or build-up from poor maintenance. In that case, the pump will overload and fail leading to spillages that can have serious environmental, reputational and financial consequences. In the event of a sudden disruption to normal operations, our team are available to carry out emergency cleaning and clearing services, both at the pump site and throughout the network to minimise downtime and the impact of overspill in the network.

New Wet Well Preparation

New wet well constructions require final cleaning and preparation before they are put into operation in a sewer network. Our team of specialists provide comprehensive assessments of the water well and pipe work structure, and a thorough deep clean of the well and pipes using high-pressure water jetters.

Advantages of Proper Pumping Station and Wet Well Preventative Maintenance

Proper maintenance of sewer pumping stations and wet wells offers a wide range of benefits in terms of financial, environmental, and health cost savings:

  • Ensures optimal performance: improves flow rates and reduces energy consumption

  • Extends equipment lifespan: protects your investment with longer-lasting components

  • Enhances safety: minimises risks of leaks and hazardous situations

  • Compliance with regulations: meets environmental and health standards, avoiding fines

  • Improves system reliability: ensures continuous operation without interruptions

  • Reduces operational costs: lowers overall costs with efficient operation

  • Early detection of issues: identifies potential problems before they escalate

  • Minimises environmental impact: prevents contamination of soil and water sources

  • Customised maintenance plans: tailors maintenance to specific needs for maximum effectiveness

By investing in regular preventative maintenance, businesses benefit from these advantages while ensuring their sewer pumping stations and wet wells operate smoothly and efficiently.

Our Pumping Station and Wet Well Servicing Equipment

pump well jetter

Jetting Units

Our CityFlex Jetters use high-pressure water jets to remove debris from pipes, drains and pumps, and fully clean all surfaces of the wet well and connecting pipes. These compact units can navigate around tight areas which is a significant advantage for both planned maintenance and emergency response at wells that are usually harder to access.

pump well recycler

Water Recyclers

The Caprecy by Cappellotto is an advanced recycling system that brings efficiency and sustainability to wet well servicing. It pumps out the wastewater from the well, cleans it by filtering out and removing any debris, and returns the cleaned water to the wet well. This recycle and reuse system is fast, efficient, and significantly lowers environmental impact.

pump well confined

Confined Space Equipment

Our Confined Space Equipment trailer brings everything we need to operate safely within the potentially hazardous environment of confined spaces such as the pipes and drains of a wet well. Our experienced teams work within regulations to ensure services are carried out safely and bring equipment such as PPE, communication gear, signage and medical equipment.
